One of my favorite types of garment is something versatile, does not fade with trends, and can complete an outfit. Dressing ourselves to be stylish and trendy down to our accessories can be difficult and mind numbingly frustrating since certain styles and trends can last all of a few weeks.
While covering Style's Fashion Week LA, I had the pleasure of being introduced to Shawl Dawls creative director, Roshena Chadha. She then demonstrated how the shawl can be worn, since she just happened to be wearing one of the designs. I was instantly amazed. Celebrating a successful launch at Phoenix Fashion Week this year, Shawl Dawls has catapulted into the retail world.
The convertible shawl can be worn 15 different ways including a simple scarf to an entire dress. Shawl Dawls currently is sold in stores as well as online. The concept reminded me of the convertible bridesmaids dresses which have become all the rage on the wedding scene for wedding parties consisting of all different body types, shapes and sizes.
This shawl, however, takes the idea to a more wearable level. Good for any occasion, the shawls come in long and short, sheer and embellished with fringe, as well as over forty colors! Ms. Chadha explained the ease of travel and the need to only pack one shawl, leggings and save room for shoes because of the garments versatility. In addition, with the season of giving upon us, this shawl is the perfect gift because it is almost guaranteed to fit as well as appeal to most's personal style.
You can host you own Shawl Soirée at home with friends such as Shawloween and Shawliday parties, for more information on hosting your own Shawl Soirée, visit their site.
