True Blue Denim

JHausa premium denim line born from the notion "nothing goes to waste." Designer JLynn Hausmann, hailing from a family ranch in Nebraska, has quickly and effectively made a name for herself on the denim and designing circuits.
I had the pleasure of meeting JLynn during Style's Fashion Week LA while she was buzzing about in preparation for her Los Angeles Debut on the runway. Jlynn's innovative use of all materials is inspiring her to create a jewelry and accessories line just as she took denim into couture with her evening gowns with chicken wire accents. JHaus launched shortly before the line was shown at Phoenix Fashion Week in August and has experienced fast track success since then.
Entering into a seemingly over saturated industry of denim, the detail and design of JHaus lends itself easily into the premium status in amongst the competition.

The design of the  jeans include a longer inseem, so it looks better worn with heels and by gals with long gams.  The stretch and choice of the denim greatly effects the feel and fit, giving the desired shape one wants out of a  decent pair of jeans.
I attribute the choice in dark colors that give a richer more expensive look for wearing casually or dressing up. JLynn's couture denim dresses add diversity and depth to the premium denim line.
Jhaus is produced locally here in Los Angeles which JLynn proudly prints on her tags along with a kitschy message to her patrons "Wash at your Haus".
My long history in the denim industry taught me that pocket placement is essential for a form fitting premium denim line and requires much attention from the designer and constant adjustment based on the line's demographics.

My personal favorite from the line, 'The Emmie' skinny, is named after JLynn's niece , a tiny 5 year old fireball. Each style is named and inspired by a family member adding just another personal touch to the friendly line.  The jeans are sold at a more than reasonable price considering the upscale competition and construction.

JHaus also has plans of showing in New York for fashion week this Spring after being extended an invitation.  The line is available online as well as available on Feb. 1st online at Zappos.com.
