The weather is warming up, for some of us at least, and the birds are chirping! One of my favorite times of year in which designers draw inspiration from natural beauty and vibrant color. The light and flowing garments of this season seem to carry a vintage inspired theme this year, which browns and blues of the 50's and 60's and printed accessories that seem to hail directly from 'Mad Men'.
One of my favorites, hailing from Seattle to Los Angeles, is ready to wear designer Bri Seeley. Bri recently showed in Phoenix Fashion Week as a part of their "boot camp" program for emerging designers and came out victorious. She won the overall title in Phoenix to then show in Style Fashion Week LA one month later. Her fast success with Phoenix Fashion Week and Style's Fashion Week LA led her to her first contract with the famous e-tailer, Zappos.com to host her Spring/Summer '13 line in April. Bri's quick success also played a major roll in her relocation to Los Angeles months after Fashion Week LA. Zappos is historically a favorite site for budges babes looking for designer duds, for instance, they have a current sale for 40% Alexander McQueen jewelry.
The fun and flirty 'Escape Collection' for Spring/Summer will be available at Zappos in April. Visit her site for a sneak peak of the line and to learn more about the designer!
