A welcomed second addition of designs by Janie Bryant, Emmy award winning costumer designer to the famed AMC show 'Mad Men', Banana Republic is releasing a Spring line inspired by the '60s drama.
The previous collaboration between the designer and retailer was wildly successful as this new launch will coincide with the premier of Season 6 of the popular timepiece airing April 7th.
Inspired by the fashions of Don Draper and Joan Holloway, the collection will include plaids and prints appropriate for the airy season as well as accessories reminiscent of what most would find in a vintage boutique.
The line reflects the historical style shift into brighter colors and geometric patterns and prints that occurred in the late 60's early 70's. Clean lines, shorter hems and color blocking ushered their way into women's wear in the late era. This particular trend is relevant this Spring in many collections and collaborations, including the most recent "Love" Prabal Gurung for Target.
Banana Republic has had successful runs with the previous collaborations with the hit show and its designer. We expect the same this time around!
