Style's Fashion Week LA: Day Four

Tonight's events began with a showcase by Jennifer Lynn of Linden CA, a contemporary line made here in Los Angeles. The line has been established for a few years now, retailing online, and premiered on the runway here at Style's Fashion Week this season. Linden's runway consisted of chiffon and sheer button ups with printed sheer tights and booties. Form fitting mixed with oversized pieces for a contemporary look. The perfect choice in Fall colors, staying on trend with the jewel tones and creams. And once again, there was leather embellishment in may of the pieces.

Madison Park Collective rounded off the showcase with designs from Trey Alligood III. Madison Park Collective made waves at Style's Fashion Week last season and this year, did not disappoint! The collection's mixture between rugged hipster and sleek sophistication are what allows for the line to adhere to a diverse customer base which is ideal in menswear.  Instead of rugged menswear Trey typically designs, we got a taste of his softer side with his new Fall '13 women's collection.  The eye catching one of a kind jewelry was provided by Jenny Dayco, famed designer for such stars as Blake Lively and Rihanna. Jenny is based in Los Angeles and available in stores and online.

In addition to his menswear Fall line, the dual show featured jewel tone cotton poly blend pants paired with wool trenches and knitted dusters for men! Some of his pieces were more constructed than destructed as his usual style is.

The highlight of the night was the charitable runway for the Go Red for Women and the American Heart Association.  In honor of their 10 year anniversary as an organization fighting heart disease.  The celebrity models for the evening included Gretchen Rossi of The Real Housewives of Orange County, America's Next Top Model contestant Raina Hein and Dakota Hood of Hunger Games.
A fan favorite piece in the Go Red for Women runway was from Bishme Cromartie, a young self-taught designer from Baltimore, MD. His designs are edgy and avant garde as was the statement red dress. Other designs featured in the show were from Alexis Monsanto, Quynh Paris, Dar Sara and more.
