The Return of Grunge: Accessories of the Trend

Grunge is making quite the comeback since its origination in the mid-80s.  The hardcore punk and indie rock genre in the fashion industry has been spotted on the runway as early as last season's shows with highlights of leather embellished sleeves and harness-like suspender belts. (see BCBGMAXAZRIA & ZARA) The latest showing by Nicholas K A/W 2013 collection at New York Fashion Week, beanies on the catwalk and street style in Paris this week.
The exact style calls for understyling: meaning oversized unfitted tops, dark and drab colors, screen printed T's and leather and studded accent.  Pants are baggier yet fitted, cropped and comfortable while accessories are edgy bold and big.
