According to the recent article by Ken Downing of Neiman Marcus' 'When & Wear', red is the new neutral. 'Red is arresting and attention getting, worn head to toe or making black worth a second look.'
Ever since the pop of Chinese Red (Pantone 18-1663 TPX) appeared at the bottom of a heel in the 90's, red has become a standard color in the wardrobe of many. What used to be a bold and daring accent color is now a normal primary for tones in everyday wear.
Pairing the well-known basics of black and white with this new neutral made perfect sense for this particular style challenge.
In collaboration with Hadasa of 'The Dressy Chick', here are two black and white styled looks to try with your pop of red! Our piece de resistance was this Sole Society 'Natassia' Top Handle Satchel.
