Target Makes a Bold Move- And it's More Stylish Than Ever

Target has always been in the forefront of marketing, collaborations and merchandising. A leading conglomerate in the fashion industry, yet not necessarily an industry leader in the eyes of fine pallet fashionistas.

On a progression to make their mark as a serious contender as a fashion brand, Target is opted into runway.  As a part of their stylish initiative,  they presented their upcoming collection to brand and consumer influencers, including bloggers, press and celebrities.Trend setters and style icons took note as the collection made its way down the catwalk. On point with the rest of the forecasted Fall looks, the common thread was deep hues and defining details.

One of my personal favorite from the trends spotted on the runway was the bold and colorful lip. Lip color is making a huge return to the runway as well as the street style.  Last year's Fall lip color was oxblood and deep reds. This year, a return of the deep reds will be partnered with corals and statement bright berry-reds.

Among the many affordable beauty brands that Target has to offer, I chose Sonia Kashuk and NYX Cosmetics. One highlighted trend within the bold lip is the matte style. So I chose Satin Luxe effects with Sonia Kashuk and Matte with NYX.
