Now that LA's hottest month is over, it is beginning to feel mildly appropriate to introduce my Fall wardrobe! I am keeping it extremely simple this season, not that I wear color (if my life depended on it)
I am a firm believer in having staple items in your closet (such as a little black dress or camel trench) however, this concept works especially well when applied during the Fall/Winter season. Even the most bold and daring with their style tend to scale it into neutrals starting in October. I firmly believe Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte has something to do with this, but nonetheless.
Here are my first looks for Fall that are perfect for transitioning out of the heat in LA and into our lows of 50 degrees (which is now considered freezing here on the West Coast)
The first look is a lightweight knitted sweater in stark white by Page paired with Runway Moto jeans by True Religion and simple cream ankle boot by Sole Society. The boots are extremely comfortable and I plan on wearing them often, so get used to seeing them! The second look, a bit Parisian inspired, is from Cosette Clothing. I ordered it oversized so that I can pair it with a belt and dress it up or down. I find if you are not conservative in sizing with rompers, especially for anyone over the height of 5'8", the look tends to be a bit more dressy and has the potential risk of not having a decent inseam.
Stay tuned for more Fall basics that I will be laying out for you as Must-Have's for the Holiday season and transitional weather appropriate!
